
Every year the theme of Ehlers-Danlos (EDS) Awareness Month is ‘Together We Dazzle’ which was captured perfectly via a New York celebration last year.
The beginning of May has just commenced which means EDS Awareness Month is well underway – a topic Social Care Today have previously reported on.
This video showcases the support that has been previously gathered to help such a cause. In 2024 members of The Ehlers-Danlos Society broadcast a 15-second awareness clip on a Times Square billboard that showed up to four-times an hour for seven days.
Members of the campaign group chose Times Square because it is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the world – around 330,000 are estimated to pass through each day. What’s more, when the short film premiered on 4th May 2024 campaigners invited as many people from the community as possible who have been affected by EDS. Here, this video details why such an event is so important.
