Listen up: Proactive care management as EARZZ and CAREVision join forces

Strategic partnership announced between leading provider of AI-powered fall prevention technology and leader in care planning and record-keeping software.

A newly announced partnership aims to seamlessly integrate EARZZ’s AI-powered acoustic monitoring technology – which enables care teams to remotely monitor the well-being of residents – with CAREVision’s comprehensive care home management solution. The result is a unified approach to improving resident safety, operational efficiency and enhanced care quality for customers of both companies.

With EARZZ’s AI-powered early alerts, carers respond swiftly to movement noise recognised in a resident’s room, proactively helping to prevent falls and reduce the risk of serious injuries. EARZZ tech also specifically identifies and alerts carers to other health-related sounds in a resident’s room, such as coughing or even screaming.

The system retains digital records of sound-related events that can be used by carers and managers, alongside automated data on health and well-being trends, to gain insights into pain management, infections and fall prevention.

The newly announced partnership will seek to make this information available within CAREVision’s electronic care management system, which works as a repository of all recorded data and care planning about any given resident. This covers everything from pre-admission through to end-of-care of discharge. Integrating the systems will enable much more proactive care management by providing more context to carers about the health and well-being of their residents.

Integration will also streamline workflows within care homes, meaning improved care coordination. The system will register in-person room checks by carers, providing evidence of the process. Direct access to data such as attendance times and digital records of sounds of concern in a resident’s room will also ease handovers between staff. Notes made by carers in the EARZZ app will also be automatically catalogued within the CAREVision system, meaning more unified access to care records

Having all relevant data integrated into a single platform will make care planning significantly easier, saving carers’ time and ensuring that they have the information they need.

What’s more, the EARZZ system uses non-intrusive monitoring technology. Cameras and solutions based on audio relay may record conversations or personal interactions, but the EARZZ solution uses AI-powered sound recognition technology to focus on sounds of concern – keeping residents safe while preserving their privacy.

Prad Thiruvenkatanathan, CEO & Founder of EARZZ, says: ‘This partnership goes beyond fall prevention. By offering a holistic detection and alerting solution, we empower carers to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.’

Rishi Jawaheer, Director of CAREVisions, adds: ‘This integration empowers care homes to be more proactive in preventing falls and delivering the highest quality of care.’
