UpLift, a mental health startup has raised money to add psychiatry services to its mental health app.
UpLift is a start-up that aims to connect patients with mental health providers, both virtually and in-person – enabling them to figure out possible insurance costs of different providers, as well as for therapists to find clients and manage schedules.
The app is known for its ability to do less traditional therapy “sessions” from anywhere in the world, and has a fun, easy to use interface.
Launched in May, UpLift is using the $8 million in funding from investors such as Thyme Care president Bobby Green and Clover Health co-founder and CEO Vivek Garipalli, with others contributing pro rata financing, to integrate psychiatry into its platform, to help people with higher-level mental health needs.
The company also plans in 2022 to expand its geographical area, branching out from Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland to expand
