About Us:

Develop your social work practice at the frontline of family support

In Kensington and Chelsea, we put children at the heart of decision-making, working in collaboration  with our partner agencies to provide high quality services that are responsive, effective and child focused. The MASH Team is a Tri-borough service that includes Westminster City Council employees and Hammersmith & Fulham. We have high aspirations for children and young people in the boroughs, we were judged as ‘outstanding’ in all areas in our most recent Ofsted inspection.

The Role:

Drawing on the expertise of partners in education, the Police, social care and health, our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) provides a quick and effective response to referrals of concern from across all three boroughs. As a MASH Team Social Worker you’ll provide the vital first point of contact, talking to families and professionals over the phone, completing risk assessments, and making onward recommendations and referrals to ensure children are safeguarded and families are supported at the earliest opportunity. It’s a fast-paced and challenging environment, but you’ll be surrounded by a highly supportive team.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

You’ll ideally have some understanding of our systemic practice model but you will have the opportunity to access our systemic training programme. You should be used to working collaboratively with a range of professionals to protect and support children and their families.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
