This role is within the Commissioning, Contracting and Market Management Service in Adult Social Care. The service is to achieve excellence in commissioning for residents in Brent. The service will aim to ensure commissioning always meets local need through having a strong evidence base for all commissioning decisions (including genuinely understanding what people want), commissioning services in the right place, at the right time, ensuring they offer value for money, are of excellent quality and deliver excellent outcomes for individuals through a vibrant marketplace.
As Market Oversight Manager (Job function – strategic commissioner and management of brokerage) you will be a key member of the newly developed service. Reporting to the Team Manager Commissioning, Contracting and Market management, you will have line management of 2 Brokerage Officers and 1 Apprentice and work to one of three thematic industry areas (Residential and Nursing Care/ Supported Living, HRS and other Accommodation based Services/ Community and Preventative Services).
You will have a responsibility of Commissioning new and existing services.
We are looking for experienced commissioners of Adult Social Care. You will have a sound Understanding of the regulations and requirements of public procurement and an in depth understanding of the quality requirement relating to providers of Adult Social Care, including a good understanding CQC inspection requirements.
