As Director of Adults’ Health & Care you’ll lead a significant directorate, accountable for the effective delivery of critical services to some of Hampshire’s most vulnerable residents. Whilst not immune to the financial pressures within the sector, our corporate approach to recalibrating service levels across the Council has ensured financial resilience and underpins our ability to deliver today with an eye to the future.

You’ll be at the top of your professional game, highly experienced and determined to drive productive outcomes for our residents through effective partnerships across the Hampshire system. An understanding of the pressures facing the NHS and community and voluntary sectors, and a determination to find a way through these matters will characterise your approach.

Familiarity with balancing demand with managing the market, innovation around residential provision, and ensuring appropriate provision to support younger adults and the older adult population will enable you to ensure operational and financial resilience. As well as fulfilling the statutory DASS responsibilities, you’ll relish the opportunity to play a full and participative role as a member of the corporate leadership team of a £1.5bn enterprise.

You’ll model the behaviours of our One Organisation, and be highly skilled at working at the political interface and with partners, within and beyond this outstanding County.
