Executive Director of Strategy & System Development:
The Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership (CMHCP) was established to improve the health and wellbeing of the population, reduce health inequalities and improve service quality and increase value. As its name suggests, the Partnership is not an organisation but a collection of organisations responsible for providing health and care services – local authorities, the NHS, GPs, and the community and voluntary sector. Our role is to bring organisations together to plan how best to deliver these services in future so that they are appropriate, high quality and affordable. Our input is now even more vital as we adapt to, and emerge from, the Covid-19 pandemic.
Following the appointment of Jackie Bene as Chief Officer, we are now looking to appoint an Executive Director of Strategy & System Development as part of the Executive Team. In this role you will develop the overarching strategy to improve health and care and reduce health inequalities in the region. This will be instrumental in helping support partners to develop a roadmap to tackle the underlying determinants of health and inequality which will have undoubtedly widened as a consequence of the pandemic.
This role will involve working not only with Local Authorities, the NHS, and other local health and care organisations but reaching deep into communities in order to provide leadership of whole system strategic and sustainable transformation. Your efforts will be focused on longer term substantial change, continuous improvement and building the necessary relationships across the Partnership to do so.
To succeed in this role, you should have substantial board-level experience, and personal credibility within your own profession. You should also be familiar with working with large, complex organisations, which operate in a regulated environment. Within this context you will show a track record of successful delivery of transformation and change and demonstrate conceptual thinking at the heart of this delivery. You will have the presence and interpersonal skills to build and enhance relationships within the Partnership, in the communities they serve, and with other stakeholders, including politicians and the wider community, both locally and nationally.
