These two new roles on the Strategic Leadership Team, both reporting to the Chief Executive, are opportunities to join us on this journey of change and be part of a new, ambitious, dynamic and talented team working together to ensure people
are at the heart of what we do, creating a place that genuinely values diversity and difference.

Ofsted’s recent report praises the strong corporate and political support for children’s services, a commitment to ‘doing the right thing’ for children in the city and an environment where good work can flourish. There is a strong platform to build on, but the challenges ahead will require us to think differently and work creatively with partners to develop our ‘whole system’ approach.

This is a role for an experienced system leader, someone who understands how combined resources across the city can be leveraged to maximum effect. Sheffield is a big city, with big city challenges and home to many talented and passionate people. As a convenor, our Director of Children’s Services will help to define our vision for the future and galvanise those around them whilst ensuring we continue to do the basics really well and our frontline teams continue to be well supported.
