Website Barnet London Borough Council
Barnet Family Services launched its newly configured 0-19 Early Help Service on 1 October 2018. Our model integrates all early help support into a single service based in three locality hubs across the borough, which are shared with other professionals working in the early help system.
Our Early Help services are designed to put the child first and promote resilience in children, young people and their families. Working to promote positive parenting and the promotion of pro-social behaviours at home, school and in the community, the 0-19 Early Help service will provide timely and effective early intervention support that prevents problems from escalating and enables children to flourish.
There is a vacancy for an Advanced Practitioner in the South Hub; the Role is responsible for ensuring that families with children/young people are identified, engaged and encouraged to access identified Services and Activities. The role provides an opportunity to support the delivery of high quality interventions for children, young people and families, including Out of Court Disposals, Prevention and Diversion Programmes and to develop professional knowledge and skills around 0-19 practice.
Barnet is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Barnet operates stringent safer recruitment procedures.
Male workers are currently underrepresented within the 0-19 workforce and given the nature of our work, supporting and engaging with both male and female clients, applications by male workers would be encouraged
